How to split or merge a hard drive without softwares

Hi in this tutorial i will explain how you can split your hard drive to create new empty partition or vice versa without softwares, the first thing you need to do is go to my computer → manage
you'll get a window like that:

Select Disk manager then choose which partition you want to reduce ( in this example i choose partition F), right click on it and select : reduce the volume, after that select how much volume you want to reduce from the partition to create the new one and click reduce
after that you get a new unallocated partition :

   
To make this partition active and ready to use, right click on it and choose : new simple volume→ click next → next again → choose any letter and click next → next → and click finish. the new partition is ready to use :

Now i will explain to you if you want to merge again the new partition you was created with the partition i was reduced ( the opposite of the last operation) :

right click on the new volume and delete it→ right click on it again and click delete the partition

Now the partition become unallocated again :

After that go to the partition you was reduced and click on : expand the volume→ next → again next→next→finish and the unallocated partition disappear :
